Genielysse Reyes (she/her) is an ace-spec Filipino American author from San Diego, California, who creates picture books, middle-grade prose and verse novels, and a comic every now and then. Her stories range from humorous to heartfelt, sad to happy (sappy), and encompasses identity with all its intersections. She holds an MFA in writing for children from Simmons University as well as a BA in creative writing and a BA in psychology from UC Riverside. You can find some of her short stories and comics hanging around in Pomona Valley Review Issues 8 and 9, the debut issue of Intersection Stories, and Mad, Bad, and Broke: An Anthology. When she isn't writing, Genielysse is doodling in her sketchbook, humming show tunes, and making others laugh, one quip at a time.
