About Me.
Genielysse Reyes is a proud Filipino-American author who writes picture books, middle-grade fiction, and a comic every now and then. Her stories have been described as "sad" and "happy"...sappy! She holds an MFA in writing for children from Simmons University as well as a BA in creative writing and a BA in psychology from UC Riverside. You can find some of her short stories hanging around in Pomona Valley Review Issues 8 and 9 and the debut issue of Intersection Stories. When she isn't writing, Genielysse is doodling in her sketchbook, humming show tunes, geeking out about animation with her brother Marco, and trying to find all the ways to combine words and pictures so that they tell a story.
She is represented by Janine Le at Janine Le Literary Agency. Favorite book: Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson Favorite movie: Whisper of the Heart Currently reading: Girl Giant and the Monkey King by Van Hoang Currently watching: Amphibia |
