I've always wanted to attend a Highlights Foundation retreat, and for months, I was eyeing the Verse Novel retreat with Rajani LaRocca, Chris Baron, and Cordelia Jensen. When I found out I received the Lee Bennett Hopkins Scholarship, it only took me a few moments to decide how I wanted to use it. And oh my goodness, that enlightening, s'more-filled, epically poetic retreat will forever be a *highlight* of my writing journey...

03/01/2021: Windows and Mirrors Award-Winner from NESCBWI
I applied for this award with my first MG verse novel, and I was so excited to learn that it won! This award came with free admission to the NESCBWI virtual conference, where I got to meet and connect with wonderful writers and artists in the New England area. This Cali-girl was so joy-filled.
